Introducing the 2020 Rural Responsive Republicans mailing list — More than half (54%) of rural voters are now leaning toward the more conservative spectrum of the Republican camp.
In both Red States and Blue States, America’s rural dwellers tend to embrace more rustic lifestyles, social views, and political values than those who live in cities. These rural Americans are more rooted in their local communities, live more removed from each other in and around small towns, and believe that less government is required to benefit their needs. Since 1920, when the rural urban population was about equal, the divide has gotten wider. Nowadays, rural voters are predominately older, white Christian Republicans who are less likely to have a college degree.
According to a recent Pew Research Center study, Rural Republicans are:
– more likely than Republicans in urban areas to say the legalization of same-sex marriage is a bad thing for society.
– more probable to express a very positive view of Donald Trump.
– far more likely to say that all or most of their neighbors are the same race or ethnicity as they are.
Beach List Direct allows you to target your Republican political donors using not only response-driving Recency/Frequency/Monetary criteria but also with the following unique rural-urban coding system numbered 4 thru 9 defined by non-metro county populations:
